About the event

This one-day, in-person workshop offers a practical introduction to Korean Natural Farming (KNF), held in our on-site education space at Mulroy Meadow Farm. Designed for farmers, growers, gardeners and anyone curious about working with natural biological systems, the day focuses on understanding the core principles of KNF and learning how to make key inputs from locally available materials.

The workshop combines short theory sessions with hands-on demonstrations, covering the foundations of Indigenous Microorganisms (IMO 1–3), lactobacillus bacteria, fermented plant juices, and water-soluble nutrients for plant and soil health. Participants will gain a clear understanding of how these inputs support soil biology, nutrient cycling and resilient growing systems.

The day also includes a live Zoom session with Tom Stack, founder of Natural Farming Ireland, offering additional insight and context into applying KNF principles in Irish conditions. Demos will be carried out for as many inputs as possible, with activities adapted to weather,…
